One of the keys to problem solving is to gather information. As we gain more valid knowledge and wisdom we increase our capability and capacity to see things clearly. This sense of clarity can help us navigate the world around us.
There are two paths you can take to gain knowledge and wisdom. I’ll call them earned experience and gathered information. Earned experience is gained from being out in the world living your life and drinking up the information you are exposed to through your sensor system so you can process it in the brain. Gathering information is learning from others about their lived experiences through reading, listening to audio books, lectures, or conversations.
Both are important and work together to help us gather the knowledge, training, education, and experiences we need to live the life we want to live.
