Clarity Exercise

Living the life you want to live requires clarity. Not sure where to start? Try spending some time thinking and writing about where you have been, where you are right now, and where you want to be. This exercise will help you understand your life in a way that will increase your capability and capacity to be purposeful in your goals, plans, and actions. It will allow you to spend your time, energy, attention, and money in a way that fits in with the life you want. It will also increase your ability to say no to the things which can derail you.

Try this sprint writing exercise. Get a notebook and spend 5 minutes writing using these three prompts. Give yourself some time to reflect between prompts (I would say at least a day).

Where Am I now?

Where do I want to go?

Bonus points if you talk about what you learned with a friend.
